China Research Institute of Daily Chemicals Industry

China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry (RIDCI), formerly founded in 1930 as the Central Industrial Laboratory, is the earliest professional institution engaged in the research and development of surfactants and detergents, and the only national scientific research institution in the industry and the most complete research institution in the fields of surfactant and detergent in China. After 90 years of development, RIDCI has developed into a modern scientific and technological enterprise integrating scientific research and engineering technology development, analysis- testing methods and standardization produce, information and market investigation, engineering design and consultation, industrialization demonstration and postgraduate training.

The main business of the Institute is scientific and technological development in surfactant and detergent industry, high-value services, technology transfer, analysis and testing, cosmetic efficacy evaluation. As the main source of major key technologies of Chinese surfactant industry, more than half of the industrial technologies for the prime surfactants in China are derived from the scientific research achievements of RIDCI. Several green surfactants’ technology has achieved international advanced level. Relying on daily chemical core raw materials, formula technology, standard formulation, efficacy evaluation advantages, RIDCI developed a series of cosmetics, skin care products, household antibacterial cleaning products, leading the new trends of life beautification by clean technology.

Introduction of product series:
SNS series anionic surfactants   SNS, derived from natural oil, is a series of anionic surfactant characterized with naturally renewable resource, mild, low irritation, excellent biodegradability as well as high human safety. SNS has very low freezing point and makes no gel phase with water, which is suitable for the preparation of low temperature, super concentrated liquid detergents.
Series of FJEE laboratory devices for sulfonation by sulphur trioxide   The FJEE type laboratory devices for sulfonation by sulphur trioxide is used for the sulfonation/sulfation of various chemicals like surfactants, additives for printing and dyeing, crude oil extraction auxiliaries, pharmaceutical intermediates and other industrial auxiliaries. The total output ranges from 0.1 kg/h to 8 kg/h.
Series of DCIJL loop jet devices   The DCIJL loop jet reaction device has excellent performance in both mass transfer and heat transfer, which greatly improves the reaction efficiency and reduces the reaction time. This device is mainly used for gas-liquid, liquid-liquid, gas-liquid-solid and/or other mass transfer reactions. Forming a loop jet system, the DCIJL loop jet reaction device is composed of a jet reactor, a high-performance circulating pump and an external heat exchanger. The principle of the ejector is the Venturi effect.
RHLQ vertical decontamination measuring machine   This machine complies with the national standard GB/T3174-2008 "Determination of Detergency and Cyclic Detergency of Laundry Detergents". It is used for the determination/evaluation of the detergency, and for the redeposition tests as well. It satisfies the needs of the research institute, manufacturers and inspection departments for quality control of detergent products.
